This Ministerial Decree establishes that State Cartographic and Geodetic Service shall be authorized state institution performing state cartographic, topographic, geodetic work and services. State Cartographic and Geodetic Service (Goskartografia) shall carry out the following tasks: (a) provision of national economy and defense with cartographic, topographic and geodetic data and materials; (b) conduct of unified technical policy in the sphere of geodesy, cartography and mapping; (c) state supervision over geodetic, cartographic and topographic activity; and (d) training of specialized staff.
