PLAAS is pleased to announce our upcoming international conference on Land, Life and Society.

A conferência bienal de pesquisa de gênero do CGIAR de 2025 será realizada de 7 a 9 de outubro de 2025 na Cidade do Cabo, África do Sul. O tema da conferência é “Acelerando a igualdade nos sistemas alimentares, da terra e da água:Impulsionando soluções por meio de evidências e aprendizado”.

The conference will bring together a diverse range of participants, including young Indigenous leaders, practitioners, and surveyors. To make the conference inclusive and truly collaborative, we will co-organize the event with youth organizations, ensuring their perspectives, priorities, and voices directly shape both the agenda and the outcomes.

The AGRC2025 and EALAN Conference unites experts in Geomatics and Land Administration to facilitate the exchange of knowledge among academia, researchers, and practitioners. Centered around the theme "Geo-Enablement for Sustainable Development," the conference highlights the importance of spatial data in tackling global challenges and advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Organised every three years by the International Land Coalition, the 10th edition will be co-hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the European Union in Colombia and the Centre for Research and Popular Education (CINEP), alongside a National Organising Committee of sixty Colombia-based organisations.

We are pleased to announce the first of an upcoming India Land and Development Conference (ILDC) Regional Workshops to be held on 30th and 31st May 2025 at Ashirvad, 69, St Marks Road, Bengaluru.

These workshops will focus on two deeply important themes:

Animals are sentinels of environmental change, and animal telemetry is a commonly used tool to quantify habitat use and help understand environmental changes. NASA data can be used to characterize the environmental parameters that infer the habitats that animals use.

Millions of pastoralists in drylands depend on livestock for their survival. Yet conflict, climate change, and poor access to animal health services (AHS) threaten their way of life. Women play a crucial but often overlooked role in livestock management, facing barriers in time, mobility, and decision-making.
