This Plenary provides a high-level forum to drive action in tenure reform in line with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 1.4.2 on securing land tenure. The session will commence with an overview of the state of land governance based on global land tenure data from the Global Land Observatory and PRINDEX. A panel of country champions that have recently completed land tenure reforms and systematic land registration will then take the stage to share their insights on good practices and lessons learned in recognizing land rights and how to scale up these tenure actions in their region. The plenary will end with a call to action by countries who have committed to take action on tenure reforms and recognition of land rights in their countries.
