The purpose of the present Law is to use the soil in a rational and efficient way, to conserve natural living conditions, as well as the beauty of the landscape.
The present Law enforces the Federal Land Use Planning Act of 22 June 1976. The purpose of the present Law is to achieve a balanced and economical use of land with a view to the natural living conditions, protection of nature and cultural heritage.
The present Ordinance lays down provisions relating to land use planning in the Canton of Basel-Landschaft. In particular, the plan contains provisions on nature conservation areas, nature preserve areas, protection of specific botanic specimen, protection of specific geological specimen.
The present Ordinance implements the Land Use Planning and Building Law of 3 December 1978. In particular, the Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the correct and efficient enforcement of the afore-mentioned Law.
