Showing items 1 through 9 of 9.This Act regulates the administration of Government land and land acquisition for public purposes. Further it establishes the procedure to be followed for such acquisition and provides for eviction from lands and properties which are either held or administered by the Government.
These Regulations make provision on leases relative to agricultural lands. The Registrar of the Superior Courts is designated to be the Registrar of the Board in regard to any proceedings which concern land situated in the Island of Malta.
These provisions aim at implementing the Land Registration Act, particularly as regards the application for the registration of land or the issue of a certificate of title and application for registration of acquistion by prescription.
The Director of Agriculture is hereby empowered to require returns to owners of any agricultural land or farmhouse in Malta. Owners of agricultural lands or farmhouse shall, in case of change of the ownership, inform the Director of Agriculture.
The Ordinance lays down rules governing the acquisition of land for public purposes, which means any purpose connected with exclusive government use or general public use. The President of Malta may by declaration signed by him declare any land to be required for a public purpose.
The Act provides for the establishment in Malta of the Land Registry for the purposes of registration of title to land.
This Act establishes rules governing the reletting of agricultural land.
Particular amendments are hereby laid down to the Land Acquisition (Public Purposes) Ordinance, mainly concerning the valuation of land not being a building site, the definition of building site and their compensation in expropriation procedures.
These Regulations apply to certain public agricultural land, namely to land that belongs to the Government and which is mainly let for the growing of crops, flowers, fruit-trees or vines and for cognate agricultural purposes.
