A crucial part of the Initiative is the determination of the extent and nature of the land degradation
due to salt damage in Central and Southern Iraq. A range of techniques, including the very latest
Geographic Information Systems are being deployed to achieve this.
This Decree consisting of 55 articles aims at regulating the agricultural land reclamation in Syria. Part I deals with the rules for the Agricultural Land Reclamation while Part II deals with the Distribution of irrigated reclaimed land.

اتعد المبادئ التوجيهية بمثابة مرجع يحتذى به وتحدد المبادئ والمعايير المقبولة دوليا لممارسات الحوكمة المسؤولة للحيازة. وتوفر إطارا تستطيع البلدان الاستفادة منه عند صياغة استراتيجياتها وسياساتها وتشريعاتها وبرامجها وأنشطتها.
