The National Food Chain Safety Office is a governmental authority under the direction of the Minister for agrarian and rural development.
According to this Decree the food-chain safety and animal health directorate, the plant and soil protection directorate, the forestry directorate and the agricultural directorate shall act as organs of the capital and county level agricultural government offices.
This Decree sets out the competences of each member of the Government.
This Decree states that the minister in charge of agricultural affairs shall excersise the powers of controlling and techical supervision of county governmental offices in respect of food-chain control, forestry, hunting, fishery, animal protection, wine production, plant production, soil protect
