تدعم الغابات والأشجار الزراعة المستدامة. فهي تثبّت التربة والمناخ وتنظّم تدفق المياه وتؤمّن الظلّ والمأوى وتوفر موئلاً للملقحات والحيوانات المفترسة الطبيعية للآفات الزراعية. وهي تساهم أيضاً في تحقيق الأمن الغذائي لمئات ملايين الأشخاص الذين تشكل بالنسبة إليهم مصادر هامة للأغذية والطاقة والدخل.

Bu çalışmada, Isparta İli’nde yapılabilecek bazı alternatif turizm etkinlikleri için ekolojik, ekonomik ve kültürel açıdan uygun alanlar, Cografi Bilgi Sistemleri (CBS) araçları kullanılarak belirlenmiştir. Bu amaca ulaşmak üzere “Uygunluk Sınıfı Değerleri” yönteminden yararlanılmıştır.
Population growth in cities along with migration from rural areas dramatically increases the Land Use and Land Cover (LULC) changes. This study was conducted in Çanakkale province consisting of central part and its vicinities where rapid population growth and development have been taken place.
The Landsat TM/ETM images obtained in 2000, 2006 and 2010 were used to generate Land Use and Land Cover (LULC)maps of Canakkale province including forest,grassland,agriculture,water and residential area bare soil classes.
This study is carried out to determine land use changes by Geographic Information Systems and Remote sensing methods in Yenimahalle district of Ankara province. Changes in land use were identified between 2000-2005 and 2000-2010.
