The present Law applies to land use planning of private and public parties in the whole of the Canton of Basel-Landschaft.
The present Law applies to all expropriations carried out on the domain of the Canton. The expropriation right shall be enforced in the interest of the Canton, or part of it, or of local authorities.
The present Act is also referred to as Natural Resources Transfer Agreement (N.R.T.A.). In particular, the purpose of the present Agreement is to transfer control over Crown lands and natural resources to the Province of Alberta.
The First Nations Land Management Act (FNLMA) was passed by the federal Parliament in 1999 on the initiative of fourteen Indian Act Bands wishing to escape the land management provisions of the Indian Act in order to improve their capacities and opportunities for economic development.
The present Act lays down provisions relating to Crown lands in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. The Act contains at the outset a definition clause referring to various terms therein employed, such as “Crown”, “land”, “permit”, “territorial lands”, “timber”.
This Act provides the Department of Environment for Northern Ireland with powers to establish and manage protected areas including nature reserves and national parks. It also establishes the Committee for Nature Conservation.
The purposes of the present Act are to enable the Sechelt Indian Band to establish and maintain self-government for itself and its members on Sechelt lands and to obtain control over and the administration of the resources and services available to its members.
A major piece of legislation to organize boundaries and administration of the Northwest Territories., and in particular of aboriginal peoples. For the purpose of the present Act “Agreement” means the Northwest Territories Lands and Resources Devolution Agreement that was made on 25 June 2013.
The present Act – consisting of 1 section – confirms and ratifies the Agreement – contained in the Schedule - between the Government of Canada and the Government of the Province of New Brunswick respecting Indian Reserves.
