The Conference was hosted by LANDac, the Netherlands Academy on Land Governance for Equitable and Sustainable Development and organized on the occasion of LANDac’s first lustrum.
The study was commissioned to the KIT Royal Tropical Institute in July 2017 by the Land Dialogue, with financial support from the Dutch Government.
The LANDac Conference 2018 looked at land governance through the lens of mobility. Land acquisitions trigger migration and yield other types of mobility such as capital, goods and ideas. Ensuing land claims raise new questions for land governance.
