    Analysis of organizing, amount of work and financing of reclamation activities is presented during State Program for conservation and use of reclaimed lands for 2011-2015. Specific indexes of spending of major activities by types of reclamation are found for 2011-2015, some changes in reclamation process are proposed as well.

    Research on the sustainable use of the soil as the main agricultural resource employing different field crop rotations and tillage systems was started in 2009. The influence of new technologies on sustainable output of agricultural raw materials used for safe and good quality food and feed production was studied at the Latvia University of Agriculture, Study and Research Farm “Peterlauki” where long-term field experimental plots were established specially for this purpose. Complex investigation of the soils at the experimental plots was performed.

    The results of studying the process of spontaneous renewal of meadow vegetable associations on the lands taken out of plough-land are given. The self-renewal of zonal grassy associations on the former plough-lands is found out to be a syngenesis process, complex and rather long-term and dynamic in space and time, which consists of a series of determinant temporal stages of evolution of phytocenoses.

    This study was done to establish relationships between management and sanitary practices on ewe dairy farms and the quality of milk produced. For this purpose, a survey was carried out on 118 farms and a total of 121,117 animals in the Castilla-La Mancha region (Southeast Spain) in which the veterinarians of the Association of Sanitary Defence participated. Flocks varied considerably in size, ranging from 120-7,200 sheep, with an average milking period lasting 3-5 months and milk yields of between 50 and 150 litres per lactation by mechanical systems on 75.0% of farms.

    In Slovenia, the Natura 2000 network covers 35.5% of its territory or 286 areas, encompassing 10 forest habitat types. The majority of indicators for the assessment of the conservation status and changes of forest habitat types are to be estimated within the forest management planning framework. In this paper, a hierarchical concept of forest habitat types monitoring in Pohorje Mts (810 km2) was examined and presented, based on landscape structure and position of habitat types in this structure.
