    Au Maroc, les politiques foncières post indépendance de 1956 ont abouti dans la zone occupée par la France à la mise sous tutelle d’une partie du foncier récupéré de la colonisation officielle et privée (DPE), au maintien du régime des terres collectives codifié dès 1919 par les autorités coloniales et au transfert des grandes propriétés immatriculées à des acteurs nationaux. Dans la zone sous protectorat espagnol, la colonisation des terres agricoles a pris des formes différentes1.

    712 550 km², si on inclut les 226 000 km² du Sahara occidental. Organisé dans un axe général sudouest/nord-est, avec l’Océan atlantique comme frontière ouest, la Méditerranée pour celle du Nord. Dans la moitié nord se situe un axe montagneux, dans la même orientation que l’axe général du pays, incluant du sud au nord, l’Anti-Atlas, le Haut Atlas (point culminant à 4 167 m), le Moyen Atlas, et le Rif. La partie sud du pays est désertique (sableuse et pierreuse).

Compte tenu de la nature et de la programmation du projet de melkisation et conformément aux exigences du MCC qui s’alignent sur celles de la Société financière internationale (SFI), un plan de gestion sociale préliminaire est requis sur la base des impacts sociaux définis à partir des premiers résultats de l’état de référence social réalisé à ce stade1.

    This report was commissioned by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO.nl). RVO is responsible for the implementation of the LAND-at-scale programme, a demand-driven land governance support programme. The programme currently holds a portfolio of projects in 14 countries. LAND-at-scale supports interventions based on the UN Voluntary Guidelines on the Responsible Governance of Tenure of Land, Fisheries and Forests (VGGT), with particular attention to interventions that support food security, rule of law, private sector development, gender equality and climate action.

    Land and ecosystems lay the foundation of the economy and the wellbeing of society. 85 percent of the world’s 1.2 billion young people live in regions that are directly dependent on land and natural resources for sustenance. Land degradation is a youth issue that threatens current and future generations’ quality of life. Young people are increasingly becoming eco-anxious about threats to their environment and the possible impacts there may be for future generation.

    Launched on 18 May 2012, the New Alliance for Food Security and Nutrition (NAFSN) is a G8 (now G7) initiative spearheaded by former US President Barack Obama. The New Alliance aims to increase private investment in African agriculture as a means to “achieve sustained and inclusive agricultural growth and raise 50 million people out of poverty over the next 10 years.” In total, 10 African countries have signed on to the NAFSN.
