This Act provides definitions and framework for the assessment and management of flood risks from watercourse and lakes with the aim to reducing risks in vulnerable areas. For each water-district a planning project is initiated by the municipal authorities, under supervision of the Ministry of Environment.This Act consists of 7 Chapters and 2 Appendices: Purpose and scope (1); Risk areas (2); Risk management plans(3); Administrative rules (4); Appeals and legal proceedings(5); Entry into force and transitional provisions (6); Changes in planning act (7).Appendix 1 - Geographic Maps.Appendix 2 - Management plans.
