L'événement a été organisé par un consortium d'organisations, notamment la Fondation Land Portal, le Forum mondial sur la recherche et l'innovation agricoles (GFAR), la Coalition des ONG asiatiques (ANGOC) et les Jeunes professionnels pour le développement agricole (YPARD).​

Au cours de la dernière décennie, le mouvement pour les droits fonciers, en particulier le mouvement pour les droits fonciers des femmes, a réalisé des progrès significatifs en renforçant la reconnaissance des droits fonciers dans les instruments nationaux, régionaux et internationaux. Malgré ces progrès, la traduction de ces recommandations en dispositions législatives et en pratiques dans les pays a été lente ou minimale

Dans le cadre de la série Land Dialogues, le deuxième webinaire de cette année, intitulé "Indigenous Land Rights and the Biodiversity COP15 : Six Months On" (Droits fonciers autochtones et COP15 sur la biodiversité : six mois après), a eu lieu le 25 mai 2023. Le webinaire a attiré un peu plus de 350 participants et a réuni des panélistes allant de femmes autochtones dirigeantes à des responsables de programmes. La série est organisée par un consortium d'organisations, dont la Fondation Land Portal, la Fondation Thomson Reuters, la Fondation Ford et la Tenure Facility.

Interview with Prof. Félix Ngana of the University of Bangui: Promoting training of Central Africans in land governance for poverty reduction

In this interview, Prof. Felix Ngana talks about the recent creation of the Training and Research Unit (UFR) on Land Governance and Local Development (GFDL) at the University of Bangui in the Central African Republic (CAR). Following the establishment of a Bachelor's degree program, plans to extend this training to the Master's and PhD levels are already underway. These efforts are timely, as the country has embarked on a decentralization process to elect mayors and governors to head municipal and regional councils, respectively.

Dans cet entretien, Prof. Félix Ngana nous parle de la récente création de l’Unité de Formation et de Recherche (UFR) sur la Gouvernance Foncière et le Développement Local (GFDL) à l’Université de Bangui en République centrafricaine (RCA). À la suite de la mise en place d’un programme de Licence 3, des projets pour prolonger cette formation aux niveaux master et doctorat sont déjà en cours. Ces efforts arrivent à point nommé, alors que le pays s’est engagé dans un processus de décentralisation pour élire des maires et des gouverneurs, respectivement à la tête de conseils municipaux et régionaux. 

No cabe duda que uno de los problemas más serios y sensibles, que afecta de manera decisiva tanto a agricultores como a comunidades, es la falta de formalización de sus derechos de la propiedad de la tierra. Para enfrentar esta situación se han implementado programas de titulación de tierras a lo largo de los últimos treinta años, pero una serie de dificultades no han permitido que esta tarea sea culminada.
